Hello!

My name is Abigail Halpin and I’ve been illustrating children’s books for over 15 years. I’ve had the joy of working with a range of clients including Penguin Random House, Taproot Magazine, Simon & Schuster, Abrams Books for Young Readers, FIGO Fabrics, Disney-Hyperion, Our Sunday Visitor and Mudpuppy/Galison, to name a few. I’m inspired by vintage textiles, mystery novels, the flora and fauna of New England, long-forgotten ephemera, Irish folklore and the work of Tasha Tudor, Carl Larsson and Eric Ravilious. In addition to illustration, I create mixed media artwork that blends drawing and embroidery, portraiture and needlework.
